Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at San José Catholic Church in Lockney. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Lemons Memorial Chapel.

Maria was born on December 23, 1955 in Lockney to Romolo and Mary (Cruz) Salas.

Maria was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her son Eric describes her as the best mother a son could ever ask for. Her daughters remember how much she loved happy hour at Sonic and watching her novelas. One of her favorite pastimes was hanging out with her precious sisters, whether they were cooking together or eating out at Carlito's or El Leon's, their favorite restaurants. She worked for years caring for others as a home health care specialist. Maria attended San José Catholic Church. She spent 20 years with the love of her life, Juan Espinosa who preceded her in death in May, 2015.

She was preceded in death by Juan Espinosa and two brothers, Aurelio Salas and Jesse Salas.

Survivors include one son, Eric Robles of Plainview; two daughters, Julia Robles of Plainview, Veronica Robles and husband Jessie Delgado of Floydada and 9 grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Daniel Salas, Nato Salas and Romolo Salas, Jr. as well as four sisters, Mary Lou Poole, Sylvia Jimenez, Delia Salas and JoAnn Nuñez.
