Maria DeLeon Perez, a longtime resident of Plainview, Texas, a loving mother, and an avid reader, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 17, 1943, near the Waco, Texas area and she was 78 years old. She is preceded in death by her father, Constancio DeLeon Sr and Mother Petra DeLeon, her husband, Rosendo Gutierrez Perez; her brothers, Tony DeLeon, Paul DeLeon, Joe DeLeon, and Pete DeLeon. She is survived by her four children, Jimmy Perez, Roger Perez, Sandra Perez, and Russell Perez: two brothers, Jessie DeLeon, and Constancio DeLeon Jr. and four sisters, Nicolasa Morales, Esperanza Perez, Kathy Mexia and Clara Salinas. She also had 12 grandchildren, Kyle Perez, Joe Castro, Kolby Cheek, Zachary Perez, Alexandria Perez, Kelsey Cheek, Aleks Betancourt, Payton Perez, Emily Perez, Roman Perez, Kaleb Perez, and Gavin Perez, 16 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Anthony Perez, Kyle Perez, Kolby Cheek, Zachary Perez, Payton Perez, Roman Perez, Kaleb Perez, and Gavin Perez.

A Funeral Service will be at 2:00PM, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. A Rosary will be at 6:00PM, Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.
