Maria Lopez, 66 of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at her residence. Services are pending and are under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Maria was born on November 8, 1959, in Torreon, Mexico to Andres Pacheco and Leonor Olague Pacheco. She married Domingo Lopez in 1997. Maria is a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Maria would make Halloween costumes for her children. She loved to craft, and bling everything out that she created. When she was not creating, she loved to watch home improvement shows, and listening to 70’s music, especially disco, and she especially loved to take care of her dogs.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband, Domingo Lopez of Plainview, her son, Gabriel Olague Pacheco (Ronda Mojica) of Plainview, her four daughters, Leonor Pacheco (Martin Ramirez) of Plainview, Maria Del Carmen Pacheco (Francisco Ahumada) of Plainview, Karina Pacheco Olague, and Lisa Gutierrez (Jayden) both of Lubbock; one brother, Mercedes Pacheco (Janie Alvarez) of Plainview, one sister, Josefina Silva (Raymundo) of Lockney; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Andres and Leonor Pacheco, a sister, Maria Del Carmen Ceballos, and two brothers, Santiago and Ignacio Pacheco.
