Plainview- Maria Aguilera, age 84, of Plainview, passed away on January 7, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be held Thursday evening at 7:00P.M. at the Lemons Memorial Chapel.
Maria was born on July 10, 1930 in Belén, Mexico to Ambrosio and Maria Ortega Navarro. Maria married Epifanio Aguilera on June 13, 1949 in Belén, Mexico. They moved to Kress, TX in 1966 and then to Plainview a few years later. Maria loved gardening. She was a kind and generous woman who put her faith and family first in her life. Maria was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview.
She was preceded in death by her husband on November 18, 2003, four sons: infants Daniel and Jorge, and Daniel Aguilera Sr. and Jorge Aguilera, a daughter: Eva Aguilera, a brother: Julian Navarro and two sisters: Ignacia Ruiz and Epifania Caldera.
She is survived by two sons: Juan and his wife Emilia
