Manuel Jesus Magaña, 75 of Plainview, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 2 o' clock in the afternoon on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely celebrating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o' clock in the evening on Friday at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Memorial Chapel.

Manuel was born on December 24, 1943 to Cipriano and Felipa Magaña in Rodriguez Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He married his loving wife in 1960. Manuel was a hard-working family man who cherished every moment he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. One of his favorite past times was playing and listening to music and he knew how to play many instruments. Manuel was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son: Valentin Magaña; one sister: Juana Magaña Dominguez; one cousin: Ricardo Garcia; one grandson: Frankie Vargas and one granddaughter: Crystal Magaña.

Manuel is survived by his wife: Isidra V. Magaña of the home; two sons: Jessie Magaña and wife Diana of Plainview and , Daniel Magaña and wife Cynthia Perez of Plainview; three daughters: Lucinda Magaña and husband Luis Melenderez of Plainview, Janie Campos and husband Isidro of Petersburg and Rosa Magaña and husband Fidel Torres of Plainview; one sister: Maria Elena Luna of Houston; 27 grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
