Lupe Gaona, 54 of Plainview, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00pm, Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. A viewing for Mrs. Gaona will be at 4:00pm-8:00pm with a Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00pm, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Lupe was born on November 16, 1970, in Mexico to Juan and Viviana Gomez Carillo. She married Jerome Andrew Gaona in November 7, 1992 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview, where she was a member.

Lupe was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom. She was devoted to her children and her god children; she would go far and beyond for them. Her children were her world. She loved to cook and everything she made was homemade. She was a very caring person, and she will be missed.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Brittany Brean Gaona, her parents, Juan and Viviana Carrillo, and her brother-in-law, Manuel Suarez, Jr.

Lupe is survived by her husband, Jerome Gaona, her two children, Jerome Lamberto Gaona, and Roman Joseph Gaona, all of Plainview; two brothers, Gilbert Carrillo and wife Libby Martinez Carrillo of Plainview, and Juan Carrillo, Jr. and wife Dora Alaniz Carrillo of Amarillo, and three sisters, Marielena Escobar and husband Virgilio Escobar of San Angelo, Esther Carrizales of Orange, Texas, and Veronica Carrillo of Lockney, Texas.
