Liliy Lange, 90, of Azle, formerly of Tulia, passed away at the Weatherford Health Care Center in Weatherford, Texas on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Rosehill Cemetery in Tulia with Rev. Rusty Gray officiating. Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.
Liliy Lange was born Bronislawa Pozlewicz on November 1, 1922 in the country of Latvia. She immigrated to the United States from Poland after World War II and married Albert Lange in June of 1950. She worked as a nursing assistant at Swisher Memorial Hospital in Tulia. Liliy loved to play Bingo and card games with her friends. Liliy was a member of Tulia Christian Fellowship Church.
Liliy is survived by her son, Andrew Lange and his wife, Sara, of Odessa, Texas; her daughter, Christine Lucero of Azle, Texas; her granddaughters: Leah Margettie and her husband, Donnie, of Odessa; Lisa Lee and her husband, Travis, of San Angelo; and Tammy McClister of Azle, Texas; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lange in 1997, and her sister, Karoline Rutkowski.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Youth Program at Tulia Christian Fellowship Church, Sixth St. and Dallas, Tulia, TX. 79088.
