Kimberly Simmons, 49 of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at her residence. The family of Mrs. Simmons will have a visitation on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 2:00pm-5:00pm, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Cremation services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Kimberly was born on July 2, 1977, in Thornton, Colorado to the late James Lee Chavez and Amelia Alcozer. She married Isaac Simmons, Sr. April 8, 1998, in Plainview, Texas.

Kimberly had a spontaneous personality, always the life of the party. She enjoyed dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy; her grandchildren changed her life. She never met a stranger, if you were her friend, you became family. She was always loving, never judging, and giving, and if she could not give you what you needed, she was going to find a way to help you find a solution.

Kimberly is preceded in death by her father, James Lee Chavez, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Those left to continue her legacy of life are her husband, Isaac Simmons, Sr. of Lubbock; her son, Isaac and Ruby Simmons, Jr. and their children, Ace and Rylo Simmons of Lubbock and her daughter, Brittani Simmons, and her child, Kalen Simmons of Lubbock; two brothers, Santos Chavez and wife, Alma of Plainview, and Jeremy Owens of Lubbock; two sisters, Sandra Amador and husband, Daniel, and Rosa Marin and husband, Ruben all of Plainview; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
