Plainview- Kathy S. Batey, age 56, of Plainview, passed away December 4, 2014 at her home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the 9th and Columbia Church of Christ with Evan Weiss officiating. Arrangements under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2:00p.m. at Littlefield Memorial Park.

Kathy was born on August 6, 1958 to Fred and Pearl (Backer) Hagerty in Levelland. She married Melton H. Batey on April 22, 1988 in San Antonio, Texas. Kathy was a homemaker. She loved animals especially her pet dogs. She enjoyed time on the computer and television. Kathy was well loved by everyone who knew her.
Kathy is survived by her husband Melton of Plainview, her mother Pearl Brymer of Plainview, her brother Randy Hagerty of Missouri, her close friends; Cindy, Dallas and Jennifer.
