Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview with Father Reymundo Manriquez as celebrant. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at the funeral home chapel at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015.

Juanita was born May 16, 1947 in Nuevo Laredo Mexico to Cipriano Magaña and Felipa Dominguez. She has lived in Plainview for over 47 years. She worked at Plainview Compress for many years before retiring. Juanita was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, caring for older people often visiting them in hospitals and nursing homes. Juanita was a very happy person and nothing pleased her more than caring for her family and friends. She is described as a prayer warrior and was very strong in her faith in Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ricardo Garcia in 2011.

Juanita is survived by her former husband, Luis Vasquez; two daughters, Maria Garcia and husband Jimmy Barrera of Tulia and Erika Arredondo and husband Robert of Odessa; One brother, Manuel Magaña and wife, Isidra; one sister, Elena Luna; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
