Jose Diaz, Jr. 37, of Plainview, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Plainview Cemetery with Father Raymundo Manriquez officiating. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Jose "Pep" was a great dad & father figure to many. He loved spending time with his family and hosting gatherings, especially for his kids and nephews and nieces. He was a person who loved being able to help people, however he was a man who was never serious about anything. He was a Diesel Mechanic, enjoyed his cars and was an avid Denver Broncos fan.

Jose is survived by his wife, Alice Gonzalez of Plainview; two sons, Isaac Jose Diaz (April Gomez) and Isaiah Jose Diaz both of Plainview; three daughters, Miranda Raquel Diaz, Mariah Raquel Diaz both of Plainview and Diannaliz Diaz of Midland; his parents, Jose and Bertha Diaz, Sr. of Plainview; three brothers, Jaime Jose (Sandy) Diaz, Sergio (Tania) Diaz and Cesar (Brenda) Diaz all of Plainview; two sisters, Maria (Jose) Lara and Angeles Diaz (Jose Hernandez) both of Plainview; his father-in-law, Silvino Gonzalez; his Godchildren, Arlette Diaz, Josiah Diaz, Ariel and Aaron Hernandez and Ellie Diaz; 19 nieces and nephews and his dog, Jax. He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Sylvia Gonzalez.
