José Alfredo Delafuente, Sr., 63 años de Plainview, falleció el jueves 13 de enero de 2022. Se llevará un servicio fúnebre a las 2:00 PM, el miércoles 19 de enero de 2022, en Lemons Memorial Chapel. La visita para el Sr. Delafuente será de 4 p.m. a 8 p.m., el martes 17 de enero de 2022, en Lemons Memorial Chapel. El entierro seguirá en el Plainview Cemetery. José nació el 13 de octubre de 1958 en Río Bravo, Tamaulipas, México, hijo de José María y Eloísa (Domínguez) Delafuente. Se casó con Ramona Álvarez el 11 de marzo de 1979 en Río Bravo, Tamaulipas, México. A José le gustaba escuchar música, ver películas de Vicente Fernández y ir a las carreras de caballos. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y luchar con sus nietos.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Ramona Delafuente de Plainview; un hijo, José Delafuente de Plainview; cuatro hijas, Leslie Cavazos, Brenda y Sergio Alvidrez, y Estrella Delafuente todas de Plainview y Abby y Gideon Ape de Miami, FL; un hermano, Noe Delafuente de Mercedes, TX; cuatro hermanas, Lourdes Garza y Celia Delafuente de Galveston, Eva Aguilar de Elsa, Tx, y Gloria Delafuente de Mercedes, TX; y doce nietos.

Le preceden en la muerte sus padres.

Jose Alfredo Delafuente, Sr., 63 of Plainview, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Visitation for Mr. Delafuente will be from 4pm-8pm, Tuesday, January 17, 2022, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Jose was born on October 13, 1958, in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Jose Maria and Eloisa (Dominguez) Delafuente. He married Ramona Alvarez on March 11, 1979, in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Jose enjoyed listening to music, watching Vicente Fernandez movies, and going to the horse races. He loved spending time with his family and wrestling with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona Delafuente of Plainview; one son, Jose Delafuente of Plainview; four daughters, Leslie Cavazos, Brenda and Sergio Alvidrez, and Estrella Delafuente all of Plainview and Abby and Gideon Ape of Miami, FL; one brother, Noe Delafuente of Mercedes, TX; four sisters, Lourdes Garza and Celia Delafuente both of Galveston, Eva Aguilar of Elsa, Tx, and Gloria Delafuente of Mercedes, TX; and twelve grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
