John Reyna, 88 of Plainview, formerly of Hart, passed away on March 24, 2020. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 10 o' clock in the morning on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at El Sendero De La Cruz, 710 5th in Hart, TX with Pastor Roger Velasquez officiating. Mr Reyna will lie in repose beginning at 10 o' clock in the morning on Wednesday until his service on Thursday at the church. This is a come and go visitation only. Interment will follow in Hart Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.
John was born on March 22, 1932 to Frolain and Romanita Reyna in Mission, TX. He was a hard-working man that always provided for his family. He was happily married to Emma Reyna until her passing on December 7, 2003. John loved cooking out for his friends and family and cherished every minute spent with them, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed listening to music, dancing and playing the maracas. He was a member of St John's Catholic Church and El Señor De La Cruz. John was known by many and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Emma; two sons: Ralph and Joseph Peter Reyna; two brothers: Fortunato and Moses Reyna; and one sister: Josefina Reyna.
John is survived by two sons: Rudolph Reyna and wife Irma of Hart and Johnny Reyna of Lubbock; one daughter: Anna Marie Reyna of Plainview; two brothers: David Reyna of Hart and Daniel Reyna of Stephenville; and seven sisters: Manuela Gonzalez of Amarillo, Minga Garcia, Rebecca Rodriguez, Dolores Castillo, Carmen Gonzalez and Noemi Velasquez all of Hart, and Martha Fuentez of Plainview.
**Arrangements have been made to celebrate Mr. Reyna's life, but please be aware changes can be made due to the safety of your health and those loved ones around us. The family wishes to express they do not want to put any person in any harm, so please do not attend if you aren't comfortable or do not feel well.
