Joey Martinez, 67 of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Viewing and visitation for Mr. Martinez will be Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 3:00pm until 8:00pm at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be Monday, January 23, 2023, at 2:00pm, at Lemons Memorial Chapel officiated by Dallas Carrasco of Olton, Texas. Burial will follow in Olton Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Joey was born in Olton, Texas to Samuel and Sophia Martinez (Fuentes) on September 23, 1955. He was a member of Los Riders and loved riding Harleys. He enjoyed playing pool and listening to his favorite band, ZZ Top.

Joey is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Sophia Martinez; one grandson, Jose Angel DeLeon and one brother.

Those left to cherish his memory: one son, Sammy Martinez (Jodi) of Pampa, Texas; two daughters: Elizabeth Garcia (Charlie) of Plainview, Texas, and Stephanie DeLeon (Jose) of Lorenzo, Texas;  one sister, Susanna Armour of Greensville, Tennessee; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
