Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Kress Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

She was born on July 30, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri to James and Ruby (Ashlock) Swafford. She married Wayne Bevill on June 27, 1959 and they were married until his passing on June 24, 1983.

JoAnne loved to quilt and crochet and many of her family members are blessed to have been given some of her creations to cherish always. She loved her children and grandchildren and she will be greatly missed.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wayne, one brother Ronnie Swafford and one sister, Sandy Dutt.

Survivors include one son, Rory Bevill of Shallowater; one daughter, Camille René Ward and husband Johnny of Ropesville; one step-brother; one step-sister; six grandchildren, Magen Bevill, Robert Ward and wife Stephanie, Kelsey Gentry and husband Skeeter, Jordan Ward, R.J. Bevill and Tori Bevill; two great grandchildren Cayden and Allison Ward and several nieces and nephews as well as other relatives who loved her dearly.
