Jesus Diaz Zaragoza, 64 of Plainview, passed away on July 20, 2020.  A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 2 o' clock in the afternoon on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Bill Anton celebrating.  Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery.  A Rosary will be recited at 7 o' clock in the evening on Friday at Lemons Memorial Chapel.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Jesus was born on December 24, 1955 to Cirilo Diaz and M. Mercedes Zaragoza in Irapuato, Mexico. He worked as a farmer most his life and recently opened a restaurant along with his wife, El Girasol, where he enjoyed conversating and attending his customers. He loved spending time with his family and telling his grandchildren stories. Jesus enjoyed listening to religious music and boxing he was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Juana Martinez; and one son: Alvaro Diaz.

Jesus is survived by his wife, Soledad Mendoza Diaz; the sons: Jesus Diaz, Abram Diaz and Juan Diaz; three daughters: Ana Maria Hernandez, Maria Magdalena Hernandez and Maria Soledad Diaz; six siblings: Cirilo Diaz, Jose Diaz, Nemecia Diaz, Petronilo Diaz, Maria Encarnacion Diaz and Mercedes Monzon; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
