IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jesus
Morales
October 15, 1934 – February 28, 2025
Jesus Morales of Plainview, beloved and cherished father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jesus passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born in Lockhart, Texas to Julio and Francisca Morales on October 15, 1934. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joe Luis Morales, Julian Morales, Pedro Morales and children: Carlos Morales and Cinday Morales.
He has eleven children: daughter, Dora Denny and husband, Darwin Denny, daughter, Sandra De La Cerda, daughter, Cinday Morales (deceased), daughter, Frances Morales, daughter Susan Gonzales and husband, Rafael Gonzales, son, Jessie Morales and wife, Mary Morales, son, Carlos Morales (deceased), son, Raymond Morales, daughter, Sophia Morales-Munoz and husband, Luis S. Munoz, and son, Henry Morales. He also had a son, Toby Morales.
He is survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also loved by his brothers and sisters, Jimmy Morales, Jose Morales, Juanita Trevino, Lydia Morales and Maria Falcon.
In the beginning, there was a little boy named Jesus.
He was full of life with the strength of an ox.
Later he met a beautiful woman who loved him. He married our mother, Olivia Morales, on November 3, 1956. They had 6 daughters and 4 sons. Dad worked hard in the City of Austin, City of Briscoe, the railroad and worked as a farm hand for over 50 years. Mom said dad could have been in an accountant because of his accuracy. He took pride in his employment: driving the tractor, irrigation and fields. His children worked with him side by side on the farm. He was very strong, even to the point of physically moving cars. He loved to wear his Long Horns cap.
We all had nicknames but no middle name from our dad:
Dora – Lola, Sandra – Chana, Cinday – Michiko, Frances – Miko, Susan – Chuche, Jessie – Pape, Carlos – Kakas, Raymond – Mon, Sophia – Pipo, Henry – Eko and Toby -Obie.
Dad had many sayings, and there were some that should not be written. The sayings: pingüinos, pedos tristes, zorrillo, etc.
Their children grew up and eventually had beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. His family was always on his mind. Dad loved them all in his own way, even Toby who came later in life.
Dad always looked for a place to fish, because of the calmness and peace of tranquility. He was like a "Jack of all Trades" but was called "Jesus" of all trades, working with cars, plumbing, etc. He passed on his expertise to so many of us. Dad knew so much and loved us in his own way. He taught us what was right and wrong through his own mistakes. He was not a perfect dad but did his best with what he knew. Even though there were difficult times, it worked out and he made it to 90 years old. We will always remember you dad.
"Remember the resurrection (Revelations 21:3,4) and the pingüinos. (Dad's socks)"
May Jehovah bless you.
The family will receive family and friends at Lemon's Memorial Chapel from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Cremation services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.
