Jesse Gomez, 75 of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at his residence. Viewing for Mr. Gomez will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 5:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Prayer Service at 6:00pm at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Cremation services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Jesse was born in Rio Hondo, Texas on April 20, 1949, to Antero Gomez and Luz Deciga. He married Stella Diaz on September 7, 1976, in Plainview, Texas. He worked for Cargill Beef Packing Plant and started Gomez Properties in 1985.

Jesse enjoyed spending time working on houses, rebuilding old cars, and growing trees. He loved animals, especially birds and dogs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Antero, and Luz Gomez, one son, Ricardo Gomez, and one grandson, Javyn Gomez.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 53 years, Stella Gomez of Plainview; four sons: Jason Gomez (Lori), Jesse Gomez, Jezbenob Gomez, and Richard Medina, Jr.; twenty-one grandchildren with twelve special grandchildren, Rico Gomez, Ricardo Gomez, Jr. (Shy), Ronnie Gomez, Rixiciki Gomez (Jose), Jaison Gomez, Jairo Gomez, J'Koby Gomez, J'Kay Gomez, Jezstelh Gomez, Jessi J'Lynn Gomez, Jae'Leighn Reign Gomez, Harley Guajardo and nine great-grandchildren.
