Jerry Mount, 80, of Kress, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Kress Cemetery with Pastor Donna Lindley officiating.

Jerry was born August 2, 1936 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Jim and Connie (Burns) Mount. After graduating from high school, he attended Sacramento State College where he earned a B.A. in Business Accounting.  He married Esther Headrick on October 28, 1983 in Bakersfield, CA. They relocated to Texas from California in 1994. He served for many years as a High School Baseball Umpire. Jerry worked for 15 years at American Home Patient in Plainview. He was a talented wood craftsman. He and his wife Esther attended Kress United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his bride of over 34 years, Esther of the home and a son, Kenny Mount of Bakersfield, California. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
