Javier Hernandez, 60, of of Plainview, passed away on February 19, 2015. He was born on March 29, 1954 in Mission, Texas to Jose Heriberto and Ninfa (Deleon) Hernandez. A Celebration of Catholic Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Hernandez married Barbara (Guzman) on December 18, 1974 in Floydada, Texas. He was a very avid fisherman, a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, but most of all his love was for his family, especially his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his father; Jose. Those left to cherish his memory are one son; Joe Michael Hernandez of Odessa, Texas, one daughter; Viola Hernandez of Plainview, Texas, one brother; Valentino Hernandez of Hale Center, Texas, two sisters, Diana Hernandez Ashbery of Mission, Texas, and Libby Hernandez Delgado of Lockney, Texas. He was also blessed with eight grandchildren; Alexis Dina Jean Salas, Xavier Seth Salas, Anissa Jo Ibarra, Layla Angel Ibarra, Tatum Nicole Herandez, Autum Rose Hernandez, Paul Angel Loza, all of the home, and Triston Hughes of Houston.
