Plainview-Juanita Ramos, 93, of Plainview, went to be with her Heavenly Father on August 5, 2014. A celebration of mass service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August, 8 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview, with Father Raymundo Manriquez and Deacon Leo Ramos Jr. officiating. Interment will follow the service in Plainview Cemetery. Funeral service arrangements are under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Ramos was born on March 11, 1921 in Ballinger, TX to the late Lucio and Justina (Rodriguez) Villalpando. She married Manuel Ramos in July of 1942 in Ballinger, TX. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2000. She spent her life taking care of her family as a homemaker. She had a great passion for the outdoors, flowers, traveling, but most of all she had a great love for her family and friends. As her family would tell you she never met a stranger, and her door was always open for anyone. Mrs. Ramos was known to most as Grandma, but she was not afraid to tell you like it was. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; Angel and Justina Torres, Lucio Villalpando, two sons; Jesse Torres, Adam Ramos, one daughter; Norma Ramos, one brother; Raymundo Villalpando, and grandson; Francisco Estrada. Those left to cherish her memory are two sons; Lucio Ramos, Jose Manuel Ramos, four daughters; Mary Ramos, Felipa Zepeda, Sulema Munoz, and San Juana Estrada.
