James Wooley was born November 19, 1954 in Plainview, Texas to Cleve Wooley and Ollie Mae Lewis Young. James lived most of his life in Plainview, after returning from Oklahoma where he graduated and attended college.

He leaves to cherish his memory his two sons; James Earl Wooley Jr. of Lubbock Texas, Cleve Wooley of Kansas, One daughter; Misty Williams of Jacksonville, Florida, his three sisters Ethel Coleman of Dallas, Mary Young, Sabrina Young and a Brother-in-law Stanley Williams all of Plainview two brothers; Tony Young and Calvin Young of Amarillo. Five grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews.
