James David Robinson, 78, of Plainview, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2017.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Plainview Cemetery. Interment will follow under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

James was born on January 1, 1939 in Cooper, Texas to Claud Allen Robinson Sr. and Alta L. Garvin. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany as a Radar Operator. He had several jobs throughout his life including the position as Produce Manager at Lowe's in Hale Center for many years until retiring in 1999.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claud Allen Robinson Sr.; his mother, Alta L. Garvin; his brother, John Earl Robinson; and two sisters, Opal Turner and Bonnie Gray.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Claud Robinson, of Plainview; four nieces, Faye Block, of Plainview; Di-Ann Duffy, of Long Lane, Missouri; KJ Lafave, of Plainview; and Stephanie Robinson, of Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Asuncion Robinson, of Irving, Texas; and Mary Youngblood, of Plainview.
