James Allen Pinkerton, age 73, of Plainview, Texas, passed away on October 4, 2024, while living at Castro County Nursing and Rehab in Dimmit, Texas. He was born on September 28, 1951, in Plainview, Texas to Hugh Owens and Mary Lee (Greenhaw) Pinkerton.
James attended the Halfway Methodist Church and was the pianist during his Senior High School years. He attended schools in Plainview, first College Hill Elementary, then Estacado Junior High, and then Plainview High School where he graduated with honors in 1970. He attended Texas Tech and graduated with honors in 1974 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.
He is survived by a brother, John and wife Barbara Pinkerton of Arlington, Texas, a sister, Elaine and husband Guy Mallow of Decatur, Texas, and a brother, Roger and wife Lesa Pinkerton of Durango, Colorado.
He is also survived by his nephew Michael Flaherty and his son Chase; his niece Melissa Pinkerton; his niece Monica Satterwhite and her husband Scott and their children: Sesalie Leon and husband Jorge; Macie Harper and her husband John and Sadler Satterwhite; and his nephew Justin Mallow and his daughter, Shawna Rinehart and her husband Johnny.
Funeral Services provided by Lemons Funeral Home, Plainview. Graveside services are pending and will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, in Plainview, Texas.
