James "Jimmy" Donald Terrell, age 72, of Lubbock, formerly of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
A Graveside service will be held at 11:00A.M., Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Plainview Memorial Park. Arrangements under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home.
A Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox Avenue in Dumas, Texas.
Jimmy was born July 8, 1945 to William "Ransom" and Inez (Lacewell) in Dumas, Texas. He married Camelia McDaniel in Clayton, New Mexico on November 19, 1963. Jimmy studied at Tech before moving back to Dumas in 1964. In Dumas, he farmed for himself and did custom farming before moving to Lubbock in the late 70's where he worked as a mechanic until his retirement in 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife, Cam; and grandson, Brandon Karnes.
He is survived by two daughters, Terrie Bechtel and Kurtis, of Sanford, TX, and Rhonda Palmero of Trumbull, CT; a son, Jimmy Shelton and Amber, of Chickasha, OK; grandchildren, Kimberly Schillinger of Tomball, TX, Jake Karnes of The Colony, TX, Paige Palmero, of Trumbull, CT, Pryce Palmero, of UT, and Mariann and Bobbie Shelton, of Chickasha, OK; and great-grandchildren, Zoey Young, Lucas Spellman, and Bryer Karnes.
