It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our son Isaiah Damien Ruiz 16, better known as Pala. Isaiah Ruiz passed away August 10, 2021. He was born on May 10, 2005, in Great Bend, KS to his mother, Yesenia Ann Ruiz. Pala attended Caprock High School in Amarillo, TX. He enjoyed the outdoors, football, basketball, fishing, working on old cars, welding, and yard work. He loved being around family and friends, especially his baby cousins, Marty and Aaliyanna Mabie. He loved to joke around and laugh with his sister Thalia Garza and his brother, Roman Garza Jr, stepbrothers, Israel Manriquez and Damian Manriquez. Pala was always willing to lend a hand  stick up for younger and older people alike. He loved getting advice from his older peers. Pala had many dreams, like becoming a welder like his late grandfather Casiano Ruiz. He joked around a lot about becoming a father and repopulating the Ruiz family. Pala loved to laugh, eat steaks and snack on Takis, gummy bears, Reese's Pieces and coconut water. Pala was a great kid who enjoyed his life and being around his family and friends. Pala had a special bond with everyone he came across. He will be dearly missed, and his memory will be forever cherished.

Pala is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Isabel Ruiz & Casiano Ruiz and a cousin, Xandra Ruiz.

Pala is survived by Mother, Yesenia Ruiz and Stepfather Daniel Manriquez; Sister, Thalia Garza; Brother, Roman Garza Jr., Stepbrothers, Israel Manriquez & Damian Manriquez; His Aunts and Uncles; Destiny Ruiz & Francisco Mabie, Juan Ruiz & Ines Ruiz, Casiano Ruiz Jr. & Maria Ruiz, Chris Ruiz & Laurie Ruiz, Adam Ruiz & Yendina Arenas.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview. Family will be accepting family and friends on August 20, 2021 beginning at 1:00PM until 8:00PM at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.
