Irene Torres 58, of Plainview passed away August 10, 2020 in Lubbock.  Services for Irene will be held Thursday, 10:00AM, August 13, 2020 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Officiant for her service will be Van Miller.  There will be a viewing on Wednesday, August 12 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM in the Lemons Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery.

Irene was born October 30, 1961 in Plainview to Jesse Torres and Maggie (Rodriguez) Torres.  She was a homemaker and loved to sew for her family. She enjoyed all her children & grandkids and loved spending time with them.  She and her sisters were known as the "Golden Girls".  Irene had a green thumb and enjoyed making her plants flourish.  She was not herself if she could not irritate her husband. She attended the Northwest Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Trevino; 2 sons: Ernest (Misty) Torres and Marcos (Audriana) Trevino both of Plainview; 4 daughters: Mona Lisa Torres (Steven Longoria), Carmen Trevino (Isaac C. Martinez), Melissa Trevino (Andres Mijares), and Samantha Trevino (Mike Medina) all of Plainview;  4  brothers:  Carlos, Baldemar, George & Luis Torres; 4 sisters: Olivia Campos, Oralia Diaz, Joann Torres and Lucy Barrientes.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Sylvia Torres.
