Inez Hernandez, 82, of Plainview, passed away on February 22, 2017 with her family at her side.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Bailey County Cemetery in Muleshoe.

There will be a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Lemons Memorial Chapel.

Inez was born on May 7, 1934, in San Antonio, to Alfonso and Guadalupe (Maciel) Cedillo.  She married Apolinar Hernandez in Clovis NM.  They were married until his passing in August, 2000.

She was a loving, kind, gentle woman.  She is described as being a friend to all.  Inez quickly engaged in conversation with anyone she met.  She loved her family so much and she always seemed to become the caregiver to all of her siblings if they were ill.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Leopoldo Cedillo and Alfonso Cedillo; two sisters, Carmen Acuña and Raquela Castillo.

Those left to cherish her family are one daughter, Rosa Ana Hernandez and husband Jose; two sons, David Hernandez and Luis Apolinar Hernandez; more than 7 grandchildren; more than 5 great grandchildren; one brother, Israel Cedillo and two sisters, Angelina Martinez and Jesusa Herrera.
