Henry Gonzalez, Jr. was born in Lockney. Texas on April 7, 1961, and passed away on October 25, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. He was a beloved  husband to Christina Gonzalez for 45 years and a cherished father to his children, Crystal and James Ramos, Gabriel and Monica Gonzalez, Heather and Elias Mancias, and Micheal and Marqui Garcia. Henry's legacy continues through his 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, who brought him immense joy.

An avid sports fan, Henry found great pleasure in watching Dallas Cowboys football and enjoyed wrestling. He was also passionate about playing softball as well as listening to music and dancing. His love for life was reflected in his favorite foods, which included chicken fried steak, carne guisada, fried chicken, bunuelos, empanadas, and pineapple upside down cake.

Henry is preceded in death by his mother, Anita Aviles, Yolanda Martinez, one sister, Christina Martinez.

He is survived by his parents, Enrique and Petra Gonzalez, and his siblings, Betty Aviles, Rick Martinez, Esmeralda Arismendez, Alamar Ovalle, and Esther Martinez.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him for his vibrant spirit and loving nature.

Viewing for Mr. Gonzalez will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00pm at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 11:00am, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Floydada Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.
