Henry Castillo, 92 of Plainview, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, in Lubbock. Visitation and funeral service will be held at Templo Sinai in Plainview. A visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, with a prayer service being held at 6:00pm on Monday, June 8, 2026. The funeral service for Mr. Castillo will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.   

Henry was born on June 15, 1933, to Santana Castillo and Maria Vasquez Castillo in Refugio, Texas. He married Socorro Solis on January 28, 1995, in Plainview, Texas.

Henry enjoyed going to church and mowing the lawn on his tractor with his dog, Pancho. He loved being outside, spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He also liked to relax at home watching Walker, Texas Ranger on his favorite recliner and would often catch him singing “El Me Levantará.”

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Socorro Castillo of Plainview, his son, Jose Muniz and wife, Monica of Plainview, his two daughters, Abilia Muniz Gomez and husband, Ramiro of Denver, CO, and Erica Muniz of Plainview, sixteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Mary Rose of Woodsboro, TX, and one niece, and two nephews of Woodsboro, TX.

He is preceded in death by son, Rudy Muniz, grandson, Rey Reyes, his parents, Santana and Maria Castillo, four brothers and four sisters.
