Helen Marie Diaz, 74 of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2019. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 o' clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Pastor Pat Baca officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

It is with great sorrow that we announce Helen's passing at the age of 74. Helen was the beloved wife of Pete Diaz for 44 years. She leaves behind 2 daughters: Francis Castillo (Armando Vidella) and Julie Diaz; 4 sons: Fidel Castillo Jr., Greg Castillo, Ernest Castillo and Michael Castillo (Selena Diaz); 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband: Pete Diaz; her parents: Demetrio Baca and Juanita Garza and her siblings.

Helen was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her door was always open to anyone that needed a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear or even a laugh. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and spending time with family. Helen had such a strong and beautiful soul that always saw the best in people. Her love was genuine, her truth was such a blessing, but her strength was inevitable. She remained strong until her very last breath.

We will miss your meals and conversations but most of all, we will miss you.
