Guadalupe Flores, 77, of Hale Center passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026. A visitation for Mr. Flores will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Hale Center Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Guadalupe was born on September 27, 1948, in Lamesa, Texas to Valentin and Juanita Flores. He married Conchita Salinas on May 14, 1973, in Hale Center. They spent 51 years together before her passing on September 8, 2024.

Guadalupe joined the Army on April 29, 1968. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Service Stars Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Expert (Rifle) Army Commendation Medal. He was honorably discharged April 28, 1970.

Guadalupe loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved reading his western books and watching western movies. He worked at West Builders in Hale Center for many years and was known to be able to fix any and everything. He had a heart of gold and will be missed tremendously.

Those left to cherish his memory are his four sons, Guadalupe Flores, Sr. (Karen) of Hale Center, Texas, Jaime Flores (Janie) of Cotton Center, Texas, Fabian Flores (Diane) of Levelland, Texas and Zachary Flores (Brittany) of Hale Center, Texas; one daughter, Mary Ann Quintero of Lubbock, Texas; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; four brothers, six sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Conchita Flores; his parents, Valentin and Juanita Flores.
