Lupe Cavazos, 76 of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Lubbock. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Cavazos will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Lupe Cavazos was born in Waterville, Ohio to Victor and Albina Lara on June 12, 1947. She married Joe H. Cavazos on August 17, 1961, in Plainview, Texas and enjoyed fifty-three years of marriage until he passed away on April 26, 2015.

Mrs. Cavazos enjoyed going to church, baking, cooking, watching movies, and spending time with family. She especially loved her dog, Rocky.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cavazos, and her parents, Victor, and Albina Lara.

Mrs. Cavazos is survived by three sons: Joe Cavazos, Victor Cavazos (Petra), both of Plainview, and David Cavazos (Cindy) of Lubbock; two daughters: Esmeralda Vallejo (Freddie) of Mansfield, and Sylvia Duquette (Louis Flores) of Plainview; ten grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
