Gordon Monroe Durham, 81 of Lubbock, formerly of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021.  A Funeral Service is scheduled for 2 o' clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Lemons Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 in the evening on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Gordon attended Plainview High School and played football for the Plainview Bulldogs. He enjoyed spending his time landscaping and helped plant most of the trees at 7th Street Park. Gordon was adventurous, he liked traveling, being outdoors, and taking care of his plants. Gordon loved his family very much and cherished every moment spent with them especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Jack, Elsie, Margie, Ellan, Lewis and Wanda; and some extended family members.

Gordon is survived by one son: Billy Durham of Plainview; three daughters: Patricia Durham of Lubbock, Lynda Schonfleder and husband William of Killeen and Susan Barnes of Plainview; one sister: Betty Dykes of Plainview; grandchildren: Savannah, Justin Carrera, Melissa Gallardo, Tennasa Gallardo, Kristalyn Robich, Kassidy Barnes, Logan Barnes and wife Ava; two great grandchildren: Luke and Emmy.
