Generosa Soto, 61 of Plainview, passed away on December 31, 2021, in Lubbock. Funeral services for Mrs. Soto will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, January 7, 2022 at Templo Sinai in Plainview with Pastor Adam Soto officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Visitation/viewing will be held at 5:00PM with a Church Service beginning at 7:00PM, Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Templo Sinai in Plainview. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Generosa was born on June 10, 1960, to Juanita Garcia in Kress, Texas. She was a graduate of Plainview High School. On January 19, 1985, she married Alex Soto in Plainview. Generosa was a bookkeeper and had many hobbies she enjoyed such as coloring, fill ins, crossword puzzles, and organizing her house. In the summertime she loved to sit outside in her rocking chair.

She is survived by her husband: Alex Soto of Plainview; three daughters: Valerie Soto of Plainview, Emily Soto and Alejandro Esparza of Plainview, and Regina (Tony) Sweat of Missouri; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Generosa is preceded in death by her mother; one son: Jacob Soto; and three grandsons: Anthony Lara Jr., Isaiah Hernandez, and Gordo Hernandez.
