Gabriel "Frank" Olivarez, 77, of Plainview, passed away on August 26, 2017.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in the Lemons Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home.

Frank was born on March 8, 1940 in Crystal City, Texas to Merced & Maria Olivarez. He married Rosa Hernandez on April 2, 1956 in Crystal City. They moved their family to the Plainview area around 1959. He and his wife were married for 36 years until her passing in 1992.

Frank worked as a migrant worker until 1963 when he began working at Stovall Radiator Company in Plainview. He did that for many years until he joined his son at Ralph's Radiator Shop. Frank was a kind-hearted man. He was well known in the community because he was always a friend to everyone.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa; his parents; three brothers and three sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Ralph Olivarez and wife Annetta of Lubbock; two daughters, Rosemary Galvan of Harlingen and Mercedes Olivarez of Plainview; one brother, Lorenzo Olivarez of Crystal City and two sisters, Maria Balderas of Uvalde and Belen Maltos of Crystal City. He is also survived by six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
