Gabriel Borgas, 86, of Plainview passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 in Plainview. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 8 in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Mr. Borgas was born on March 24, 1928 in Rockdale, TX. to the late Matidle and Maxcmina Borgas. He married Bibiana (Aguero) in Dimmit, TX. Mr. Borgas loved crossword puzzles, word search, fishing, and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mr. Borgas is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, eight sisters, one grandaughter; Michelle Garcia, and one grandson; Rogelio Gill. Those left to cherish his memory are; his wife; Bibiana, children; Gabriel Borgas Jr., Margarita and husband Luis Torres, Florentina Borgas, Josephine B. Garcia, Rene and wife Ana Borgas, and one brother Frank (Pancho) Borgas. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, fifty-four great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great grandchildren.
