Frederico "Fred" Constancio, 93 of Plainview, passed away on March 18, 2023, surrounded by his family at his home in Plainview. Family will have a Viewing for Mr. Constancio at 4:00pm-7:00pm with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00pm-8:00pm, Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 10:00am, Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Abundant Grace Church with Pastor Hope Vaquera officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.
Fred was born on December 23, 1929, to Federico Constancio, Sr. and Natividad Almaguer Constancio in Del Rio, Texas. He married Paula Ramirez on February 16, 2004, in Plainview, Texas.
Fred was a collector of coins and loved antiques. He enjoyed treasure hunting and doing mechanic work on cars.
Fred is survived by his wife, Paula Constancio of Plainview; two sons: Joel Constancio and wife Isidra, and Zeke Constancio and wife Angie, all of Hereford; three step-sons: Ernie Castillo and wife Sherry of Moscow, Kansas, Hector Castillo and wife Velma of Amarillo, and Frank Castillo of Plainview; three daughters: Dora Pence of Amarillo, Linda Chavez and husband Raymon of Hereford, and Nina Bozell and husband Mike of Austin; four step-daughters: Rosa Castillo and Jesse Soliz of Lubbock, Duve Castillo of Arlington, Texas, Maggie Castillo and Ray Arteaga of Plainview, and Maida Soliz and husband Andrew of Amarillo; one brother, Marcello Constancio, and one sister, Mary Helen Aguilar, both of San Angelo; thirty nine grandchildren, and 49 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederico Sr. and Natividad Constancio, three sons: Frederico Bermea III, Cosme and Lucas Constancio; two sisters: Jesusita Hernandez, and Olivia Faz; three brothers: Jesse, Ruben and Carlos Constancio.
