Plainview- Frank "Hike" Stanton, 85, of Petersburg, passed away on January 28, 2015 in Idalou, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 2p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Petersburg First United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Hinsley officiating. Services are under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Stanton was born on August 10, 1929, to the late Frank and Belle (Smith) Stanton in Morton, Texas. He married June (Scarborough) on October 26, 1947 in Petersburg, Texas. Frank spent his life on the farm growing cotton and raising cattle. When Frank was away from work he enjoyed golfing, fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife June Stanton, one son Bill and wife Gail Stanton, one daughter; Donna and husband Doug Hollins, three grandchildren; Tyler and wife Allyson Stanton, Hunter and husband Jordan Roraus, Bailey Hollins, and one brother, Bobby Stanton. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren.
