Frank Diaz, age 71, passed away on April 25, 2026, in Plainview. Visitation will be held at 4:00pm until 8:00pm, Friday, May 1, 2026, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Frank was born on January 21, 1955, in Guanajuato, Mexico to Pedro and Soledad Diaz. He married Oralia Lalia in 1973 in Plainview, Texas.

Frank worked for many years at Excel and Spartan Transportation. Frank was a jokester who loved to cookout and watch videos on YouTube and TikTok. He loved to play volleyball and softball and would play as much as he could; he was affectionally known as “coach.” Frank was also known as the “Bob the builder” of the family because he could fix any and everything. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching the show, The Challenge.

Frank was a family man; he loved his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren, and loved spending time with them.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Soledad Diaz; sister, Angie Diaz; and brother, Pete Diaz.

Frank is survived by his wife Oralia Diaz; son, Joe Diaz (Natalie) of Plainview; three daughters, Sonia Diaz (Paul Angel Loza) of Plainview, Dora Diaz of Lubbock, and Christina Diaz (Arturo Antunez) of Plainview; nine grandchildren, Odyssey Diaz (Abel Garcia), Jayden Diaz (Patrick Garcia), Damien Diaz (Samara), Kiza Diaz, N’Ovaliee Sistrunk, Adrian Diaz, Aubrey Diaz, Noah Diaz Loza, and Clarita Diaz; four great-grandchildren, Camila Garcia, Mariella Garcia, Azariah Diaz, and Ivy Diaz; three brothers, Angel Diaz (Peggy), Nacho Diaz, Antonio Diaz (Corina) all of Plainview; and one sister, Becky Gallardo (Daniel) of Plainview.
