Francisco Alvarado-Estrada, 78 of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Lubbock. A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Steve Martinez of Trinity Fellowship Church will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Cremation services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview. 

Francisco was born in Durango, Mexico on October 4, 1947, to Juan Alvarado and Maria Estrada. He and his wife, Delia D. Gonzales, were together for 35 years until her passing on November 18, 2021.

Francisco was mechanically inclined and could work on anything. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and being on the farm.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Delia D. Gonzales; his father, Juan Alvarado, his mother, Maria Estrada; one brother, Rafael Alvarado, and one sister, Maria Candelaria Alvarado.

Francisco is survived by his sons, Francisco Javier Alvarado, Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama, Alverto Alvarado and wife Hope of Morton, Texas, and Gerardo Alvarado and Jaime Alvarado of Bovina, Texas; his daughters, Griselda Morales and husband Pascual of Bakersfield, California, Silvia Alvarado of Morton, Texas, and Jaden Hurtado of Plainview, Texas; one brother, Jose Angel Estrada; four sisters, Teresa Alvarado, Maria Ester Alvarado, Blanca Estrada, and Teresa Estrada; thirteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
