Francisca Porras, 85, of Plainview, passed away on August 25, 2017.

Francisca will be in state at New Creation in Christ Church located at 16th and Independence in Plainview from 9:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview.  Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery.

Francisca was born April 1, 1932 in Mexico to Joaquin and Gregoria (Saldaña) Porras. She worked for many years in the childcare industry while caring for her only son, Gonzalo Porras.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Gonzalo Porras, Sr.; six grandchildren, Luis Porras, Gonzalo Porras, Jr., Norma Porras, Eloisa Garcia, Irene Porras and Richard Porras. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren, 36 great-great grandchildren and 6 great-great-great grandchildren.
