Filiberto Rico Castañeda, 64 of Plainview, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Visitation and Funeral service for Mr. Castañeda will be held at Lemons Memorial Chapel, Visitation will be on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm and Funeral Service will be at 11:00am, Monday, October 3, 2022, with Pastor Steve Martinez of Trinity Life Church officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Filiberto was born in La Hincada, México to Amado Castañeda and Francisca Rico on August 22, 1958. He married Alice Luna on July 4, 2022, in Plainview.

Filiberto worked at Azteca Milling for 30 years. He was a very conservative man and a hard worker. He never missed a day of work.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Amado and Francisca Castañeda, his paternal grandparents, J. Pilar and Inosencia Castañeda, and maternal grandparents, Sixto and Aurelia Rico.

Filiberto is survived by his wife, Alice Castañeda, three brothers and two sisters, and his two dogs, Pepper, and Princess.

Filiberto trabajó en Azteca Milling durante 30 años. Era un hombre muy conservador y muy trabajador. Nunca faltó un día de trabajo.

Le preceden en la muerte sus padres, Amado y Francisca Castañeda, sus abuelos paternos, J. Pilar e Inosencia Castañeda, y los abuelos maternos, Sixto y Aurelia Rico.

A Filiberto le sobreviven su esposa, Alice Castañeda, tres hermanos y dos hermanas, y sus dos perros, Pepper y Princess.
