A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Elim Worship Center, 1308 Galveston St. in Plainview with Rev. Toby Gonzales, Pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista officiating.

Fernando was born on June 5, 1976 in Seminole, Texas to Guadalupe and Janie (Carrasco) Gonzales. He attended Plainview High School and worked at Cargill Meat Solutions.

He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan and was proud of that! Fernando loved spending time with his children and step-children and they adored him. He was greatly loved by his nieces and nephews and they so enjoyed their time with him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his father, Guadalupe Gonzales; his girlfriend, Aurora Suarez; two daughters, Nicaliza and Monika Gonzales; two step-daughters, Mercedes Garcia and Marissa Suarez; step-son Austin Garcia; one sister, Caroline Maeda of Kress; half-sister, Mary Ann Gonzales and half brother, Bobby Gonzales. Other survivors include nieces, Felisha, Brianna, Candace, Ashley, Maribel, Isabel and Crystal; nephews, Tommy Lee, Kevin and Joseph as well as many cousins, uncles and aunts.
