Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at La Primera Iglesia Bautista. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park.

Felipa was born on November 14, 1921in Thorndale, Texas to Enrique and Thomasa (Rodriguez) Pequeño. She married Raul G. Ybarra, Sr. on November 29, 1941 in Slaton. They remained married until his passing on October 1, 2008.

Her family lovingly remembers her as an amazing cook, seamstress, homemaker, caregiver and gardener. Her grandchildren loved spending time with her and she became "Wela" to their friends as well. Felipa did everything with integrity. She was a faithful, devout Christian and shared her faith with her family every chance she got. Her sons remember her as an amazing wife to her husband, their father. They remember having to milk the cows when they were very young. Felipa in turn would make cheese from the milk. She taught her family the importance of working hard and taking care of each other. She will be dearly missed.

Felipa was preceded in death by her husband of over 67 years, Raul; two sons, Pete Ybarra and Joe Ybarra; 5 brothers; 1 sister and several half-sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Raul Ybarra, Jr. and Jesse Ybarra; one brother, Henry Pequeño; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
