Federico "Cuervo" Favila, Jr., age 88, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, in Amarillo. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Pastor Inakis Lopez officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Viewing will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Federico was born on September 6, 1935, in Sonora, Texas to Federico and Pauline (Castro) Favila. He was a boxer in his younger years and was an Auto Body Shop repair man most of his life. He always kept his pickup truck clean. Federico enjoyed wearing his cowboy boots and cowboy hat, listening to Tejano music, dancing and watching western movies. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed eating Honey Buns and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Federico is survived by one son, Daniel Favila (Maria Lerma) of Plainview; one daughter, Gloria Favila of Amarillo; one brother, Speedy Favila of Plainview; two sisters, Lucia Santana of Abilene and Dolores "Lina" LaFuente of Plainview; twenty-one grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Anita Perez Favila; one son, Oscar Favila, one grandson, Paul Anthony Saiz, Jr.; both parents; two brothers, Mando and Mundo Favila; and two sisters, Lydia Razo and Rosa Zuniga.
