Mrs. Crawford passed away February 23, 2014 in the Crosbyton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an illness.
Evelyn was born January 13, 1922 in McLean, Texas to John and Anna (Butterfield) Quattlebaum. She graduated in 1941 in Matador, Texas. She married Billy Don Crawford in Hereford, Texas on February 21, 1943. They moved around quite a bit because of Don's oil field jobs and also due to having a custom harvest business that took them from Texas to Canada for ten years. In later years they moved to Plainview, hauling cattle for Excel until 1990.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, one sister, two brothers, and a great-grandson. Survivors are: one son, David Crawford and his wife, Toni, of Spur; two sisters: Marian Q. Davis of San Angelo, and Ann Harwell of Alvin; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
The Crawford family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Steve Alley, and the all the staffs at Crosbyton Hospital, Crosbyton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Integracare Hospice.
