Esther Orona, 75 of Plainview, passed away on June 9, 2024, surrounded by her family. Viewing for Mrs. Orona will be on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. Funeral Services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Esther was born on August 23, 1948, in Colonia Esperanza, Mexico to Antonio Apodaca and Maria Galindo. She married Manuel Orona in Mexico on September 13, 1964. Esther loved to take care of her roses, and spending most of her time with her family, loving every minute of it.

Esther is survived by her husband, Manuel Orona, 6 sons, Vincent Orona and wife Sandra of Plainview, Pedro Orona and wife Kristy of Plainview, Ricardo Orona and wife Rose Mary of Plainview, Juan Manuel Orona of Plainview, Marcos Antonio Orona and wife Vanessa of Lubbock, and David Orona of Plainview; one daughter, Sandra Ceniceros and husband Baldemor of Plainview; 2 sisters, Rosa Maria Guzman and husband Elizar of Plainview, and Maria Guadalupe Balandron of Mexico; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Esther is preceded in death by one son, Enrique Orona; her parents, Antonio Apodaca, and Maria Galindo; her brothers, Feliz Apodaca, and Daniel Balandron; sister, Paula Balandron, two grandsons, Jose Luiz Orona and Samuel Orona; two great-granddaughters, Aviana Marie Orona and Summer Rose Orona Juarez.
