Estela Melendez, age 68, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in Odessa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am, Friday, June 6, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. A visitation will be at 4:00pm - 8:00pm, with a Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00pm, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Estela was born on February 7, 1957, in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Jesus Flores and Anita Torres. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview.

Estela had a friendly, giving, and social personality. She loved making new friends, and helping those in need, especially in Mexico. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, driving, and giving gifts. Her giving spirit will be missed by all those she blessed with her generosity and love.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Miguel Gallegos, and Gabino Melendez, one daughter, Carol Melendez, and her father, Jesus Flores.

Estela is survived by her husband, Francisco Melendez, Sr. of Plainview; three sons, Juan Reyes of San Antonio, Francisco Melendez, Jr. of San Antonio, and Socorro Melendez of Plainview; three daughters, Veronica Hernandez of Juarez, Mexico, Marisol Melendez of Plainview, and Ivette Melendez (Crecencio Garcia) of Plainview; her mother, Anita Flores; two brothers, Juan Flores of Dalton, Georgia, and Pepe Flores of Juarez, Mexico; two sisters, Rosa Flores of Dalton, Georgia, and Guille Torres of Juarez, Mexico; and her thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
