Esperanza Holguin, age 80, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024. Viewing for Mrs. Holguin will be held at 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Friday, June 7, 2024, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 11:00am, Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Esperanza was born in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico on February 14, 1944, to Abraham Acosta Flores and Maria Diaz Saenz.

Esperanza enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, shopping, collecting cacti and listening to Vicente Fernandez.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pascual Holguin, Sr., two sons, Pascual Holguin, Jr., and Baltazar Holguin, and her parents.

Esperanza is survived by five sons: Elias Holguin of Lubbock, TX, Daniel Holguin of Plainview, TX, Jesse Holguin (Juanita) of Las Cruces, NM, Noe Holguin (Noelle) of Tucson, AZ, and Jacob Holguin of Las Cruces, NM; one daughter, Rosa Holguin of Fort Collins, CO; three brothers Arturo Diaz of El Paso, TX, Jesus Diaz, and Guillermo Diaz both of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; one sister, Mercedes Roque of Greely, CO; thirty six grandchildren and twenty eight great-grandchildren.
